Patient Centered Healthcare
If you have never been seen by a chiropractor or an acupuncturist, you may have some questions or even a few reservations about what you might experience. If you've had chiropractic or acupuncture in the past, we may be a little different from what you expect.
Your Initial Evaluation
Your initial visit will last approximately one hour, during which you will work exclusively with your
own personal doctor. We will carefully evaluate your current complaint, your past medical history, and your current lifestyle. You will receive a thorough orthopedic and neurologic examination. Treatment may involve chiropractic manipulative therapy, soft tissue work or neuromuscular therapy, and joint mobilization. We utilize only gentle, low-force adjusting procedures. At no time will your neck or back be twisted or forcibly "popped." Your doctor will answer all of your questions about your condition, and make recommendations related to particular activities you should or should not partake in during your rehabilitation. You may be given home exercises to assist you in reaching your treatment goals.

Whether you're seeking care for a new or ongoing spinal concern, a work-related injury, or an automobile accident, your care is our highest priority.
About X-rays
We do not routinely x-ray new patients. X-rays are an important diagnostic tool for cases involving suspected fracture, recent trauma, or metastatic bone disease. X-rays, do not, however, provide relevant information on joint biomechanics. If we suspect that you might have a fracture or another serious bone disease, you will be referred to a diagnosic imaging facility for those films.
Follow -up Care
Return visits last 30-40 minutes, and focus on decreasing pain, restoring full joint function, and increasing spinal stability. Our goal is for you to return to your normal daily activities, work, and recreational activities as quickly as possible. Since each patient is unique, we schedule follow-up care as the patient's condition dictates and not according to an arbitrary treatment formula. Please read about chiropractic care on the chiropractic page.
About Acupuncture
Patients may choose to receive acupuncture treatments alone or in addition to their chiropractic care. You are under no obligation to receive chiropractic services if you are only interested in acupuncture. Please read more about acupuncture on the acupuncture page.
